M1’s B1-B Team at Dyess is 100% comprised of veterans and provides a setting for veterans to display their considerable talents and guide Active Duty Airmen using their broad aircraft experience.

The award was presented by the American Legion’s National Veterans Employment & Education Commission at the American Legion’s 96th national convention in Charlotte NC. M1 previously received the State Small Employer of the Year Award from the American Legion, Department of Texas in July 2014.

M1 Services Honored as Patriotic Employer by the ESGR

07/24/2014, Holloman AFB, NM – The Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) recognized M1 Services as a Patrotic Employer of members of the National Guard and Reserve. Serving in the National Guard or Reserve presents its own challenges, and M1 Services has helped its employees meet those challenges using a wide range of measures. These measures include flexible schedules, time off prior to and after deployment, caring for families, and granting leaves of absences if needed.

An employee serving in the Guard or Reserve, or their spouse, can nominate their employer for this prestigious award. The award reflects M1’s commitment to supporting National Guard or Reservists as well as veterans.

M1 has continually supported our Guard and Reserve members. In 2010, our Fort Hood Flight Operations and Combat Aviation Training Team (CATT) was honored with the Patriotic Employer award. In August 2007, our Home Office in Denton, TX was privileged to receive the award.

M1 wins Texas Small Employer of the Year from the American Legion

07/11/2014, Dyess AFB, TX – M1 has been honored with the American Legion, Department of Texas, Small Employer of the Year award for 2013. Our maintenance team performs B1-B Lancer maintenance for the 7th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron and M1 received the award for being the top veteran employer in the state.

M1’s B1-B Team at Dyess is 100% comprised of veterans. This gives our team a unique perspective and helps to guide younger, active duty airmen when performing maintenance.

The 7th AMXS Operations Officer, Maj. Kevin Koren, stated that M1’s “experience and veteran status gives the 7th Maintenance Group look-back capability on B-1 problems some of our current technicians have not seen before. This enables the M1 team to pass-on their experiences and knowledge to our maintenance technicians for future problems. Their contributions, although hard to quantify, are pivotal to home station and combat capability here at Team Dyess.”
